This Thursday, October 1st 2009, The Beatnuts will be involved in a theater production entitled "Deez Nuts". The show is about the upbringing of The Beatnuts and things that have inspired them in their quest for the perfect beat. Both Psycho Les and JuJu will star in the production.
This is a limited showing that will run from October 1-3 at the Ohio Theater Soho. Tickets can be bought at the door for $25.00 or in advance by visting Hip-Hop Theater Festival.
Many props to the reader who emailed me about this production.

I randomly came across a new vinyl release for the Beatnuts. The album is entitled "Rarest Nuts". Its a vinyl double LP compilation album of remixes and rarities.

Looks like Psycho Les's record label has a new website. It is now located over at www.pitfightmusic.com. It still looks relatively new(there's some sample data in the events), but check back for some new merchandise, and events info to be showing up soon.

Everything points new Album will be released in 09. In the meanwhile a new remix/unreleased CD, U.F.O. Files, will be released on the 30th of September.

I received some interesting news today. The Beatnuts next album, which presumably will be out later this year will be called "Planet of the Crates". The Beatnuts announced this at their recent concert at The Knitting Factory. I'll get you some more information as it comes in.

A danuts visitor recently informed me that he had messaged Psycho Les on Myspace about The Beatnuts. Pyscho Les informed him that The Beatnuts should have an album dropping in 2008. Unfortunately, I have no other information regarding album information or a release date. But it looks like we could have another Beatnuts album before too long. Keep checking back here for updates.
